our made by you Screenprinting Workshop is about the experience and the joy of creating custom designs on apparel. Step into the graphic designer and apparel printer role for the next six hours as you learn the essentials of screenprinting. You'll prepare artwork for acetate film, coat and expose screens with UV-sensitive emulsion, and how to set up your print station. Our Design Lab instructors will guide you in mastering squeegee techniques for clean, crisp prints with your supplied artwork. Discover how automatic machines operate and explore CMYK printing techniques, digital printing, and heat transfer applications. For the next six hours, step into the graphic designer and apparel printer role and learn the basics of creating, exposing, and screenprinting T-shirts.
This course teaches you how to prepare artwork to print onto acetate film. Coat screens with UV-sensitive emulsion, Expose your artwork onto the screen that is ready to print and learn how to correctly manage and set up your workstation for operation and how to align artwork that is prepared for printing on garments in the correct location. Our madebyplasma Design Lab instructors will teach proper techniques using the squeegee; squeegees are designed to spread the ink evenly across the back of a screen, making a clean image on the printed surface. You will also learn several drying techniques to cure your garments.
Our team will guide you in every step. In just a few hours, you will have all the technical skills and a basic industry-level understanding of designing and printing yourself!

Learn how madebyplasa's screenprinting workshop operates and how a job moves from artwork to finished garment.
2. Artwork preparation
Prepare your design for film output and learn the fundamentals of colour separation.
3. Screen preparation
Coat, expose and wash out your screen using UV-sensitive emulsion.
4. Press setup
Set up your screen, register the artwork and prepare your ink and test prints.
5. Print your own apparel
Learn flooding, pressure, angle and squeegee control before printing your garments.
6. Curing and finishing
Cure your prints correctly and learn how professionally printed garments are finished.
7. Commercial printing demonstrations
See automatic screenprinting, CMYK, simulated process, digital printing and heat transfers in a working production environment.
