madebyplasma – Trade Printing Terms & Charges
Our trade printing service is designed to support industry partners, including screen printers, embroidery shops, promotional suppliers, designers, and agencies, who resell finished goods to their own clients. These terms ensure smooth production, protect margins, and set clear expectations for all parties.
1. Eligibility
- Trade pricing is exclusively for resellers, not end-users.
- Proof of industry involvement may be required (ABN, website, portfolio, or references).
- madebyplasma reserves the right to refuse or revoke trade status at its discretion.
2. Supplying Garments
Extra Garments for Testing
When supplying custom garments not ordered through us or local vendors (AS Colour, Gildan, Colourplane, etc.), please include five extra garments per order for:
- Dye Migration Testing – essential for polyester/blends
- Defibrillation Testing – to check how fabric reacts to ink
- Shrinkage & Wash Testing – ensuring print quality after laundering
This step ensures optimal results and minimises production risks.
Garment Sorting Requirements
All garments must arrive:
- Sorted by: Size, Colour, Style, and Design
- Packed & labelled: Each design/job clearly separated
If garments arrive unsorted or unlabelled, a $40/hour Sorting Fee applies (minimum 1 hour).
Local Supplier Policy
All garments from local suppliers (AS Colour, Gildan, etc.) must be ordered through us — even if you hold an account — to:
- Ensure consistent wholesale pricing
- Consolidate delivery and reduce pre-production errors
- Align garments with your quote/order number for smoother processing for our team.
3. Artwork Requirements
- File Format: Vector files (.AI, .EPS, .PDF) OR 300dpi raster files at actual print size.
- File Adjustments: Resizing, clean-up, or file prep incurs a Design Prep Fee from $60/hour + GST
- Colour Matching: Pantone references must be supplied (see [Pantone Colour Guide – link])If Pantones aren’t provided, we match as closely as possible but exact accuracy is not guaranteed
4. Approvals & Disclaimer
- Proofs: Digital proofs must be approved through our printing software.
- Digital Eproof will be sent through email & SMS
- Client Responsibility: The client is responsible for checking artwork, spelling, placement, and colours.
- Liability:madebyPlasma is not liable for misprints or errors if the proofs were approved.We do not replace or reimburse misprints on client-supplied garments.Industry spoilage allowance applies (2%- 5%)
5. Production Turnaround
- Standard Production: 7–10 business days
- Rush Production: 2–3 business days (+25% surcharge)
- Ultra Rush: 1 business day (+50% surcharge, subject to approval and capacity)
Turnaround begins after payment clears AND proof is approved.
Shipping time is additional.
6. Payment Terms
- Prepayment: Full payment is required before the commencement of production.
7. Additional Fees (If Applicable)
- Relabelling / Rebagging: Quoted per job
- Specialty Inks: (Puff, Metallic, Discharge, Glow, etc.) additional charges apply
- Oversize or Custom Placements: Extra setup and print fees
- Sampling: Charged at full rate unless otherwise pre-arranged
- Sorting Fee: $40/hour minimum (for unsorted garments)
8. Shipping & Split Shipments

- Freight is charged at cost unless otherwise arranged.

Split Shipment Policy
At madebyplasma, we strive to consolidate your order into a single shipment to minimise costs and ensure a seamless delivery experience. However, we understand that sometimes you may need part of your order sooner or delivered to multiple locations — and we’re happy to accommodate that.
What Is Considered A Split Shipment?
A split shipment occurs when one order is divided into two or more separate deliveries. This can happen for several reasons:
- Part of your order needs to be shipped earlier to meet a deadline
- Items are being delivered to different locations
- Certain products have different production lead times
Fees & Costs
Each additional shipment will incur:
- A handling fee to cover extra packing and administrative time
- Additional freight charges based on the number of shipments and delivery addresses
We always communicate these costs upfront before processing a split shipment, so there are no surprises.
Timing & Turnaround
Splitting an order slightly extends overall production and fulfilment times, as it requires additional coordination and handling. If timing is critical, let us know — we can prioritise the first shipment as a rush job where possible.
- If you request multiple deliveries for a single order (on different dates/addresses), additional handling fees and freight charges will apply.
- We will always provide upfront costs and discuss timing before processing.
9. Cancellations & Changes
- Orders may be cancelled before proof approval — setup/artwork costs incurred will still be charged.
- Changes after approval may incur additional fees and delay production.
10. Dispute Resolution
- Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of receipt.
- If the work is faulty due to our error, we will reprint or credit it at our discretion.
- Refunds are not provided for client error (incorrect quantities, specs, or approved artwork).
11. Confidentiality
- All trade work is treated as confidential.
- madebyplasma will never contact your clients directly or use their branding for promotional purposes without your written consent.
- Shop tours, social media posts, and portfolio images will exclude identifying client information unless explicitly approved in advance.
